Contact your building administrator for the Kan-Ed Empowered Desktop to activate your teacher and student ePals accounts! (Your ePals icon won’t appear until they’ve activated your account.) Once activated, simply click on the ePals Email link on the desktop to begin emailing safely and easily among classrooms. Also use your ePals account to access the ePals Global Community, connecting classrooms in over 200 countries and territories to engage students in collaborative learning, project-sharing and language and literacy skill building. Subscription administrators for the Empowered Desktop by Kan-Ed can activate their teacher and student ePals accounts with the following simple steps:
1) Log into your Desktop subscription administrator account.
2) Click the edit button on communication and collaboration tools.
3) Check boxes next to grade levels and teacher accounts that you wish to activate.
4) Then click submit.
5) Congratulations! Your teachers and students will now have full access to 21st century communication and collaboration tools to allow access the ePals Global Community, connecting classrooms in over 200 countries and territories to engage students in collaborative learning, project-sharing, and language and literacy skill building.
